MyAgroBuddi is a product of AOI Labs, a technology company incorporated in Nigeria. We operate a WhatsApp-based AI farming assistant at the number +234 903 190 7032 and the website myagrobuddi.com ("the Service").

2. What Data We Collect

When you interact with MyAgroBuddi via WhatsApp or this website, we may collect the following:

• Contact information: Your WhatsApp phone number, display name, and any name you provide.
• Location information: The state and local government area you farm in, as voluntarily shared.
• Farm data: Crop types, livestock, farm size, planting dates, harvest records, income and expense records you voluntarily log with Buddi.
• Conversation data: Messages you send to Buddi, including text, voice notes (transcribed), and photos shared for crop/animal diagnosis.
• Usage data: Timestamps, feature usage, and engagement patterns that contribute to your Verification Score.
• Contact form submissions: Name, email, organisation, and message content submitted via this website.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use collected data to:

• Provide and improve the MyAgroBuddi WhatsApp assistant service.
• Calculate and maintain your Farmer Verification Score (300–850).
• Generate personalised farming advice, weather forecasts, and market information.
• Send relevant agricultural broadcasts and programme announcements (you may opt out at any time by messaging "STOP").
• Facilitate loan prequalification summaries with partner financial institutions — only with your explicit consent.
• Improve our AI models and service quality (anonymised and aggregated).
• Respond to enquiries submitted via this website.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in the following circumstances:

• Partner institutions: Only when you explicitly request a loan referral or grant application through Buddi and consent to sharing your report with a named partner.
• Service providers: Third-party services we use to operate the platform, including Supabase (database), Render (hosting), Anthropic, OpenAI, and Meta (WhatsApp API). Each is bound by their respective data processing agreements.
• Legal requirements: Where required by Nigerian law or valid legal process.

5. WhatsApp & Meta

MyAgroBuddi operates through the WhatsApp Business Platform provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. By messaging Buddi, you also agree to WhatsApp's Privacy Policy. We access only the messages sent directly to our business number and do not access your personal WhatsApp chats, contacts, or media.

6. Data Security

We take data security seriously. Your data is stored in encrypted databases (Supabase/PostgreSQL) hosted on secure cloud infrastructure. Access is restricted to authorised AOI Labs team members. We use HTTPS for all web communications.

No system is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach affecting your rights, we will notify affected users within 72 hours of becoming aware.

7. Your Rights

Under applicable Nigerian data protection law (NDPR) and as a matter of principle, you have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Delete your account and associated data by messaging "DELETE MY DATA" to Buddi on WhatsApp.
• Opt out of broadcast messages at any time by messaging "STOP".
• Withdraw consent for partner data sharing at any time.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as you are an active Buddi user. If you request deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Anonymised, aggregated data (used for research and service improvement) is not subject to deletion.

9. Children

MyAgroBuddi is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify active users via WhatsApp broadcast and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
